Support the UNLV Student Sustainability Council

Our Goal:

We want to send 5 students to the AASHE Conference.The AASHE (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) Conference is a conference where people in higher education get together and learn how to create a more sustainable world.

We will be the first students to represent UNLV at the AASHE Conference. Students will not only return with new ideas for UNLV but also with practical ways to make these ideas a reality.

About Us:

Student Sustainability Council’s purpose: Make UNLV more sustainable through operational and cultural change. It’s been less than a year since we’ve been formed, yet:

• We have gotten new outdoor recycling bins at UNLV and are planning to get even more
• We have volunteered with Green Our Planet to build gardens for Las Vegas elementary schools
• We have hosted over 10 events related to sustainability on campus
• We are going to be the first students to represent UNLV at the AASHE Conference
