ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

PRSSA is a nationwide network of over 11,000 students interested in careers in public relations, communications, and related fields. The UNLV chapter currently consists of 25 members. We provide our members with meetings consisting of guest speakers from the industry, professional workshops, and various other events to benefit and enrich the professional development of members. PRSSA works in partnership with Public Relations Society of America - Las Vegas Valley Chapter, our parent organization.

FUNDS NEEDED

UNLV PRSSA operates with funds raised by the generosity of the community and member dues, which we keep at a minimum so that more students can afford to join and enjoy the benefits of being a member. These funds are necessary in order to host high-quality programming and purchase the supplies necessary to make the organization a success, including t-shirts, banners, food for meetings, and venue reservations. We also want to send our members to the 2017 National Conference in Boston from October 6-10. We have to pay for registration, flights, hotel accommodations, and meals, so with these costs, it can be hard for students to afford. With the help of our friends, family, university and local PR community, UNLV PRSSA can send members to Boston for a few days of life-changing experience. By supporting UNLV PRSSA, you will be supporting the professional development of ambitious students looking for their next big opportunity.
