WHO WE ARE
Thank you for taking the time to look at our fundraiser page. We are the American Association for Dental Research - National Student Research Group (AADR-NSRG) chapter for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas - School of Dental Medicine. The AADR-NSRG is a student-run organization whose main purpose is to foster an environment in every dental school for students interested in enriching their dental education through research. It is composed of a network of self-governing local student research group (SRG) chapters at each dental school and is led nationally by officers elected through a majority of votes from all members.
WHAT WE DO
At UNLV-SDM the AADR-NSRG has helped to get students involved in both biomedical and clinical research. In the past three years, many UNLV-SDM students have participated in the AADR national meeting. During March 19-22, 2014 2014 ten (10) UNLV-SDM students presented their research in Charlotte, NC. During March 11-14, 2015 sixteen (16) UNLV-SDM students presented in Boston, MA. This past year we have had an all-time record of twenty (20) students presenting during March 16-19, 2016 in Los Angeles, CA.
This year we have exceeded all of our expectations and have twenty three (23) students with presentations accepted to the AADR during March 22-25, 2017 in San Francisco, CA! Please help us reach our goal and get our students there.
WHY WE DO IT
There are many benefits that we offer our members in our chapter alone including networking opportunities, guest speakers, biomedical laboratory research, and social activities. We would like for all of our members that are interested in going the National conference to be able to go this upcoming March but realize that money can often be a limiting factor for many. However, with your help we would be able to send our most dedicated members this year!
The AADR (American Association for Dental Research) is the premier organization that facilitates research in dental schools across the United States and Canada. Basic member is required for student to participate in national meeting. Your pledge of $93 can help a student at UNLV-SDM become a member.
The student registration fee for the AADR 2017 meeting will be $275. Your pledge can help one of our students attend the AADR and present their research to national and international dental and oral health researchers. This is a valuable opportunity to show your support for our students.
Combining the AADR student membership ($93) and the AADR student meeting registration ($275) into one gift ($368)would enable you to help our students in a comprehensive way. Your donation would provide enough funds to support one of our twenty two students to present at the AADR.
Your one-time donation would help our students with their basic member registration ($93), conference registration ($275) and a little something extra to help them on their way to the AADR national research conference in San Francisco, CA during March 22-25, 2017
Your one-time donation would help our students with their basic member registration ($93), conference registration ($275) and a LOT of extra to help them on their way to the AADR national research conference in San Francisco, CA during March 22-25, 2017
