We want to take a moment to thank all of the Las Vegas Latino Bar Association members who have donated to our campaign so far. We are fortunate to always be able to count on your support year after year. It is amazing how many great things we have accomplished together.

It is still not too late to donate to our Rebel Raiser campaign. We are still 20 days out from the close of the campaign and we are already 60% of the way to our goal. Did you know that most of the students who receive scholarships from this fundraiser are the first in their family to pursue higher education? With your help, more students can reach this milestone.

Today we want to highlight Christian Narvaez's generous donation. Christian shared that he was a student not too long ago who relied on scholarships and grants. So he was happy to help out and hopes that others pay it forward as well. Christian is grateful that there are organizations like La Voz and the Latino Bar Association to help out students.

Hello to our friends and community!

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far! Your donations mean so much to the students. We wanted to take a moment to highlight a donation from Judge Cristina Silva. Her donation was dedicated to the memory of Angel Beltran, III. Angel left this world too early after a long battle with cancer. Today marks the anniversary of his untimely death. Judge Silva shared the following words:

Angel Beltran, III, was born March 28, 1975 and passed on January 28, 2019 after a long and hard-fought battle with a rare type of cancer. He was a proud UNLV graduate and military veteran (both U.S. Navy and Air Force). Angel had a long and outstanding career with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Nevada and was the head of the IT Department until his untimely passing. He represented UNLV so well as an alum. I’ll always be grateful for him, not only for his inspiring career as a public servant, but also for our friendship and showing me what strength truly means. Thank you Angel for introducing me to my best friend and sister-in-life, Jaye, who now works with me in Chambers.  

Thank you Judge Silva for keeping Angel’s memory alive. Throughout our campaign we will continue to highlight your donations and stories.
