The Sgt. Clint Ferrin Memorial Veterans Dental Clinic (www.veteransdentistry.com) was started in honor of the older brother of graduate, John Ferrin, DMD in 2008. After having a front tooth knocked out during training, Dr. Ferrin watched his older brother struggle to receive proper dental care due to frequent deployments. Following his brother’s death, Dr. Ferrin was inspired to establish an avenue for local veterans, who otherwise have limited or no access to care, a place to be treated for free.
Clinics and Services: Our 10 student-run, Saturday clinics serve upwards of 50 veterans representing members of every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. During each four hour clinic, a full range of services is offered including fillings, root canals, tooth extractions and dentures. Dental students, staff, and faculty all volunteer their time and talent to make these clinics possible.
How YOUR gift helps: Your donation is used for direct patient care and covers the cost of materials and lab fees. Donations are the only way we are able to cover these extra costs. As the only clinic of its kind, we make an incredible impact on the lives of our local veterans. Thanks to your support and our care, local veterans receive the dental care they deserve.
As we celebrate our freedom this July 4th, we ask that you consider a thoughtful donation to the Ferrin Clinic. Join other donors in giving back to the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom and country.
