Support the Financial Management Association 2019
Help FMA get to New York City!
The Financial Management Association (FMA) is a student run organization at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Our goal is to connect students with industry professionals so they can explore the area of finance that they are the most passionate about. Our hope is that though this discovery process the students will be able to navigate the broad field of finance in college, so that when they graduate they can cultivate their skills in a job they love.
Every semester our club takes select members to a U.S. city that has a strong finance presence. These trips give our students access to firms and jobs that we do not have here in Las Vegas. Last semester we traveled to Seattle where three of our members got job offers from one of the firms we visited. These kinds of opportunities are unique to this club and is the reason we continue to do what we do.
This semester fifteen finance students are headed to New York City where they will have the opportunity to network and meet with firms, UNLV alumni and enjoy all the city has to offer. We will meet with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, SMB Capital and Newton. We also have an interest in visiting Ellevest, and 2Sigma. In addition to these firm visits, we plan to explore the city, and develop a better understanding of New York's financial district. We will also visit to the New York Stock Exchange, in order to understand the dynamics of the trading floor. The Museum of American Finance is also on the agenda which will give us a historic outlook on the developments and achievements of America's financial institutions. Overall, this will be a great team building experience and will give FMA members great insight into the one world's most essential financial cities.
With your help, we can facilitate the engagement of these students and provide insight that will help them navigate a successful future! All donations make a difference and we thank you in advance for giving our members the chance to gain detailed industry perspective in this broad market.
We would like to recognize and thank our Super Champion donors for making our launch of this campaign possible! Because of these generous sponsors we are well on our way to sending these 15 students to NYC. THANK YOU!!
