National Champions Take On The World!
This season, the UNLV Rebel Girls & Company are your 2025 D1A Hip Hop and Game Day UDA National Champions. Due to these achievements, the program has been selected to become the USA National Premier Hip Hop team and will compete at the ICU World Championships.
The ICU World Championships are between April 23-25 and take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL.
UNLV has been selected to represent the USA before, as recently as in 2022 and 2023—they won gold both times.
The ICU World Championships will be streamed live on Olympics.com and is designated as a qualifying event for The World Games 2025 in August in Chengdu, China.
About UNLV RG&CO
The UNLV Rebel Girls & Company are the intercollegiate athletics dance team for the University of Nevada Las Vegas, who perform at all Men's Basketball and Football home games throughout the season. The Rebel Girls & Company's dancers must maintain high academic standards while training, performing, competing, and serving as ambassadors of the University at athletic events and throughout the greater Las Vegas community.
A Fully Self-Funded Program
Although the UNLV Rebel Girls & Company abide by NCAA rules and regulations, dance is not sanctioned as an NCAA sport, and therefore this dance team is not traditionally funded by the University. The student athletes must fundraise their entire operating budget in order to afford such expenses as traveling to and lodging at UDA College Nationals and other competitions, uniforms, equipment, training, choreography, etc. The dancers are extremely grateful for the community support they receive each year, and hope for continued support as they take on new opportunities offered during the 2024-2025 season.
Additional Accolades
The hard work and dedication of the UNLV Rebel Girls & Company has awarded them 6 UDA Hip Hop Division 1A National Championship Titles, in 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2025. The team has also earned 6 UDA Game Day Division 1A National Championship Titles in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025.
The program has also participated in opportunities such as performing on America's Got Talent, creating a dance collaboration with Red Bull Bracket Reel, traveling to Nanjing, China to represent team USA, and being invited to perform for the Las Vegas Aces, halftime for the NFL Pro Bowl, the NFL Draft, NBA Summer League, and the USA Sevens' Rugby team.
