School of Public Health Alumni Association (SPH Alumni)
The UNLV School of Public Health Alumni Association (SPH Alumni) serves to foster the advancement of the School's initiatives and deepen the connection with alumni and our community.
To encourage the best and brightest minds to pursue a career in public health and healthcare, SPH Alumni launched an inaugural scholarship campaign in 2021. The fundraiser resonated with the community, and to our delight, the first-ever alumni-funded scholarship, which provides tuition and critical financial support, was proudly distributed in the spring of 2022 to doctoral student Emylia Terry. Our most recent scholarship recipient, awarded in the spring of 2023, is undergraduate Public Health senior Austin Tang. This award provided tuition and critical financial support for outstanding graduate students, Emylia Terry and Austin Tang as they continue to pursue their degrees in the SPH.
This year, we hope you will join us in increasing the amount of financial support that we can provide to students like Emylia, who are invested in advancing and safeguarding the health and well-being of our most vulnerable populations. Our ultimate goal is to raise $30,000 and establish a scholarship endowment that would exist in perpetuity to support students in need, but we can't do it without your help.
