RJ Hersh Memorial Alumni Scholarship in Architecture

Please join alumni and friends of the UNLV School of Architecture in making a gift to support the RJ Hersh Memorial Alumni Scholarship in Architecture endowment in memory of RJ Hersh, beloved friend, UNLV alumnus, Fine Arts Alumni Chapter Board member, and talented architect.

RJ earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2009. Upon graduation, Robert enrolled in the master of architecture program and finished his coursework in 2011. He became a licensed architect in the state of Nevada in June of 2017. RJ’s experience in project types ranged from K-12, higher education, retail, mixed-use, religious structures, and large-scale hospitality. His work included Desert Diamonds Baseball Complex at Mountain’s Edge Regional Park; Earl N. Jenkins Elementary School, a prototype re-site for CCSD; and the Clark County Regional Justice Center Complex Litigation Courtroom Conversion in Downtown Las Vegas. RJ’s career culminated with his position as associate principal at TSK, his final project being one he was most proud and passionate about - the new Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building for UNLV.

Your gift to this scholarship will provide financial assistance for students pursuing careers in architecture while at the same time preparing future industry professionals.

We can think of no better way to honor RJ’s dedication and commitment to UNLV and the profession than to establish this endowment which will fund scholarships in perpetuity.

Several alumni and donors have already made gifts to seed the endowment fund – a true testament to RJ's devotion, hard work, and enthusiasm!

Will you make a gift to help the College of Fine Arts Alumni Chapter Board reach the minimum goal of $30K in order to endow the fund?
